Sacred Heart Parish has a storied history, dating all the way back to the 19th century, in the original mission community that met in the homes of the first residents of the Manawa area.

We encourage you to take some time to read the full history of the parish that was published in 1994 (see the link below), on the 100th anniversary of the dedication of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  

While many of the names and faces have changed, our parish, as it still stands, is a testament to the vibrant faith and vision of those priests and lay faithful who took up the charge of building a church fitting for the worship and honor of God. 
   
Today, we carry on the great tradition of those who have gone before us as we strive to lead all people to the Kingdom of God.
